It is now 31st of December, 2020. Your goal should be written as if now… remember that?
And that is, it should be written as if it’s already the date you want to achieve it!
It is now the 17th of October, 2020. And I am heading home from my publisher’s office, holding the hard copy of my recently published book (title) in my hands, and smiling at myself for achieving such a feat.
This is called future pacing. Framing your goal in this manner sure makes it more compelling than blandly saying “I will publish my book in October”. Employ your five senses even as you set the date.
You don’t just have a timeline that you intend to achieve your goal, you write it as if it’s that DATE ALREADY! “It is today 14th of February, 2021. I am on way in an Uber to be with my date. I am proposing today.” Can you see that?

How do you write your goals?
